How do I book as a foot passenger

Great news, our foot passenger service on our Dover to Calais route will be re-opening for selected sailings on 4th February 2022!

To book a journey as a foot passenger, follow the steps below:

  • Navigate to our fare finder.

  • Start by adding your port and travels dates, then click next.

  • On the passenger page, enter the number of people travelling including any pets. You can also use this page to tell us about those who require special assistance. Click next to continue.

  • The vehicle page is where you can add foot passenger to your booking. Simply click edit, and select 'Foot Passenger' from the vehicle drop down menu. Click save and then continue to proceed to the quote page. You can then select the sailings you wish to travel on and continue to complete your booking.

  • Please be aware a dedicated bus will take you on and off the Ferry. This coach leaves 90 minutes before departure, so please ensure you arrive plenty of time before this to ensure you don't miss your sailing. This bus will also disembark the ship 30 minutes after arrival into Calais port, so please ensure any travel arrangements accommodate this.

Please note foot passengers can no longer book a 'non-lander' round trip due to border checks.

Please note: Our Dover to Calais foot passenger service is currently unsuitable for those we reduced mobility, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.



Shuttle Bus Service

The Balad’in is free shuttle bus which connects the Ferry Terminal to the city center of Calais every 22 minutes in the morning and every 11 minutes in the afternoon. Non stop from Monday to Saturday (except on 12/25 and 01/01), from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm. Covid restrictions may apply.
