When you arrive at EU border control after the 1st January 2021, British citizens may have too:

show a return or onward ticket

show you have enough money for your stay

use separate lanes from EU, EEA and Swiss citizens when queuing
You will need to declare cash of £10,000 or more (or the equivalent in another currency) if you take it between the UK and any other country. To check the guidance or obtain an online form, click here.

If you are leaving or entering the UK temporarily, including on a business trip, you do not need to declare your laptop or mobile phone to customs.

Travelling abroad has changed since the Coronavirus pandemic please make sure you are fully updated on the entry requirements for the UK and Europe, and have the relevant paperwork to hand ready for border control. Delays may occur during peak times due to extra border control health checks.
