Can I stay in my car during the crossing?

Unfortunately passengers are not allowed to remain in their vehicles during the crossing. In accordance to marine regulations all passengers must vacate their vehicles following embarkation and no passengers are allowed access to an enclosed car deck when the ship is under way.

For those passengers travelling with a pet, you can request to see your pet during the crossing by speaking to a member of staff on board.

Unlike other modes of transport, travelling by ferry with P&O allows you to step outside on one of our decks during your crossing and breathe in the fresh sea air. Plus, our ventilation systems on board our vessels use 100% fresh air when possible and we have strict safety measures in place.
