HELP CENTRE

I’m travelling on the North Sea route, can I bring my own food with me?

We pride ourselves on offering lots of choice on our North Sea route; bars, cafes, our fantastic Brasserie à la carte restaurant and our buffet-style restaurants.

If you pre-book your meals on the North Sea you can also SAVE up to 10% too!

If you wish to bring your own snacks with you for your cabin* this is also fine, but we are sure that you'll find something to suit every palette on board.

Take a look at our eating and drinking options on board each of our routes:

Dover - Calais

Hull - Rotterdam

Cairnryan - Larne

Liverpool - Dublin

Following Brexit, you are not allowed to take any meat, milk, or products containing these ingredients into EU countries with you. Therefore any food taken to your cabin will need to remain onboard and cannot be taken ashore. There are some exemptions, including powdered infant milk and food required for medical reasons. You are allowed to travel with 20kg of fish and some shellfish, and 2kg of other animal products – including honey. Find out more about personal food imports now that the UK has left the EU.

You may be checked for these products at EU entry points, any items carried with you that are deemed in breach of these rules will be confiscated and destroyed. Please ensure that you have consumed or disposed of any meat, milk, or products containing these ingredients before you reach your EU destination. This will avoid issues at border control and will ensure that you’re not contributing to unnecessary food waste.
