The Liverpool Terminal is situated at Gladstone Dock, Liverpool Freeport (not Birkenhead). Go through the Freeport police security entrance and take the first left. The Terminal is about one mile along on the right-hand side. Take a right and follow signs past the front of the terminal buildings to the passenger check-in.
From Liverpool City Centre follow A565 towards Bootle. Take sign for Liverpool Freeport, Bootle. From other areas, use M57 or M58 and follow signs All Docks on A5036. Continue on A5036 for about 2 miles until roundabout (incorporating a flyover) and follow signs for Crosby/Liverpool Freeport.
Directions from M57
At the end of the motorway follow signs for Docks/Seaforth.
Pass through 8 sets of traffic lights (approx 3 miles).
At the first roundabout take the 3rd exit.
At the second roundabout take the 2nd exit underneath the flyover.
Use the far left-hand lane for entrance to Liverpool Freeport.
Go through the Freeport entrance and take the first left.
Pass P&O weighbridge on the left; the terminal is the 2nd turning on the right.
Directions from M62
At the end of motorway keep in right-hand lanes and bear right onto A5058.
Follow signs for Bootle/Docks (approx 6 miles).
Turn right at the traffic lights onto A565.
Follow signs for Gladstone.
Keep in the left-hand lane for entrance to Liverpool Freeport.
Go through the Freeport entrance and take the first left.
Pass P&O weighbridge on the left; the terminal is the 2nd turning on the right.
Directions from Albert Dock (5.1 miles, 12 minutes)
Head northeast on Gower St towards Salthouse Quay.
Turn left onto Wapping/A5036.
Continue to follow A5036.
Slight left onto Great Howard St/A565.
Continue to follow A565.
Turn left onto Strand Road.
Turn right onto Regent Road.
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit.
Turn left; the destination will be on the left.

By Rail
The nearest rail stations are the Liverpool City Centre stations including Liverpool Lime Street, Moorfields, Central and James Street. All of which are a short taxi ride from Gladstone Dock.

Paradise Street Bus Station (southbound and a few northbound services)
