HELP CENTRE

Can unaccompanied Children travel on board your ferries?

Any children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.

If the child is travelling abroad without their Parent or Legal Guardian but with another adult they must have a letter of consent; otherwise, permission to travel may be refused.

Any person aged 16-17 years are free to buy an adult passenger ticket and travel; subject to the usual Immigration and Customs requirements. They will only be allowed to travel alone if they are carrying a "Letter of Authorisation" from their parent or guardian. This will also help to assist at Immigration border controls.

French under 18s travelling without their parent or legal guardian must obtain an "Autorisation de Sortie du Territoire" from the Townhall where they live.

Below you will find the request form for Autorisation de Sortie du Territoire however it is not the authorisation itself.
